Long walk instead of running

I took a break from running today and in place of that, took a quick walk. Covered a total distance of 15km (9.3miles), though it was quite tiring, I had a sense and feeling of accomplishment.
Am seriously considering doing a half marathon very soon as I am so happy with my energy level so far.
Just a quick tip to those that run/take walks with their backpacks: always ensure that your backpack is as light as possible so that it doesn’t wear you out and you do not start having postural problems in the future.
