Overweight and your health

Being
overweight can be a source of so many ailments (both major and minor) that we
often experience at a point in our lives; whether it is from the little things
we often ignore like snoring (which is often so annoying to people around you),
easy fatigability, sleep apnoea to major health challenges like diabetes,
hypertension, fertility issues, Fibroids, polycystic ovary disease etc.
Lifestyle
modification is essential as it holds the key to most of our health challenges.
Don’t
get me wrong, so many other factors can obviously play a role; after all some
people are not even overweight in any sense of the word but still suffer from
most of these!
Knowing
your body mass index (BMI) is very crucial as it gives you a clearer insight as
to whether you are overweight or not based on your weight and height. Whatever
case; it is essential to take very great care of your health one sure way is
definitely by exercising (no matter how little) and having control of what goes
into our mouths.
- Get up, take a good stroll around your neighbourhood; you’ll be amazed as to what interesting things you didn’t even know where close to you. You can even organise a walk with your friends during the weekends, this way it will be more fun and less tiring.
- Jog on the spot in your house as often as possible
- And even in the office you can do minor stretches during lunch break.
